(Al...this post is for you!) A few months ago, my friend Al and his wife Megan started making chain mail jewelry; bracelets, earrings, etc. Making this type of accessory is no easy feat. There are different types of weaves and different gauges of hoops that will create various textures. Think of it as knitting...with metals. The only chain mail I'd heard of were pieces of clothing or jewelry that knights wore, or larpers.  Low and behold, a few days ago I was on Twitter and saw a picture of these beautiful heels from New York Fashion Week. Manolo Blahnik no less... I began seeing a hot new trend pop up on the interwebs...chain mail EVERYTHING!
