Last Sunday, I set out with the hubby and little one to roam around the City we live in. When we lived in San Luis Obispo, we constantly were out downtown where all the action was. It also helped we lived 2 blocks from downtown. When we moved back home to Sacramento, we moved to an area that was 10 minutes from downtown and it feels like forever just getting down that way. I yearn for a big city feel or just a city feel that is just outside my front door.

Sunday morning is perfect because its quiet and no one is really out and about. I hadn't been boutique shopping in a while and when I saw RIRE boutique post a super cute jacket on Instagram that was up for grabs, I thought this was a great time to check them out.

SO. MUCH.CUTE.STUFF! The hubby left me to my devices but I had to restrain myself. The jacket didn't work out like I wanted it to but I did find a super cute bar necklace that I've been wanting.

This is just a snippet of what I checked out. I'll definitely be back for more....

Fall is in full swing here in Northern CA! I love that the mornings are slightly chilly and the afternoons are warm.

Last weekend, we went to Apple Hill with my in-laws for our 2nd annual trip. This year was so much fun because Lily was walking all around and exploring things on her own. Here are some tidbits of my last weekend.

For those that aren't from this area, Apple Hill is located just up highway 50 and is a mix of orchards that offer, well, apple everything basically. We picked 2 orchards to head out to and Jack Russell Brewery as its pretty CRAZY up there on the weekends. There is so much to do like check out the vendors selling all kinds of things, food, train rides, hay rides, a pumpkin patch... The traffic is INSANE (as you'll see in the video) and at one point, it took my in-laws 40-45 minutes to get from one stop to the other because the main thoroughfare through Apple Hill was clogged. We used an app called Ware to navigate through the side streets and were there in less than 15 minutes.

If you do go up that way, I'd recommend going during the week when there are less crowds and traffic.

HOORAY for PNO (that's Parent's Night Out y'all!)!!! We don't really take a whole lot of time apart from our little one but were honored to celebrate our friend's special day! I've known the groom since college (9 years ago!) and met his now wife at our wedding 2 years ago. They are a beautiful couple and everything about their day was just perfect!

So.much.fun! We played bocce ball (well, we played it wrong but whatever...), took pictures in the photobooth, mingled a bit and then hung out in the rocking chairs and watched people dance. It was nice to listen to the officiant talk about what marriage means and to hear it again made me smile. Our life isn't perfect by any means but its the learning, growing and maneuvering through life that makes all the difference. <3
