Lately I've been shopping for printed blouses. They go well with jeans and are easily dressed up with a great necklace, blazer, some heels and a high bun! Jeans are pretty much my uniform these days since I work from home. Printed shirts jazz up my uniform a ton! Since These are some of my favorites that I've managed to find on Polyvore but will post some of my own soon! I really love blouses with hearts, cats, glasses, birds...and chevron...can't forget about the chevron!
(Al...this post is for you!) A few months ago, my friend Al and his wife
Megan started making chain mail jewelry; bracelets, earrings, etc.
Making this type of accessory is no easy feat. There are different types
of weaves and different gauges of hoops that will create various
textures. Think of it as knitting...with metals. The only chain mail I'd heard of were pieces of clothing or
jewelry that knights wore, or larpers. Low and behold, a few days ago I
was on Twitter and saw a picture of these beautiful heels from New York
Fashion Week. Manolo Blahnik no less... I began seeing a hot new trend
pop up on the interwebs...chain mail EVERYTHING!

I recently stumbled upon an Iphone app that has changed the way I shop. Ever heard of Poshmark? You can sell your items (take up to 4 pictures, add fancy filters and a brief description) in one sitting! As a buyer, you can barter the price, trade or pay the price given. Most of the items are priced decently but I've been able to barter all the purchases I've made for lower prices! The app is user friendly and convenient in that posting isn't a chore (unless you really hate taking pictures... but who doesn't like Instagramming and Iphoneing these days!) and paying through the app is crystal clear. As a seller, the app takes 20% from your purchase and they send you a package to ship your items to the seller.
I can find awesome deals on mainstream brands like J. Crew, Banana Republic and Gap. People also sell high end items like Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Prada... I must warn you...once you try it, you might become hooked.

The chevron pattern dominated summer this year but my hope is that this
adorable pattern will carry on into fall! I can picture rich jewel tones
layered in chevron with boots and scarves. Here are some of my favorite
picks. I'm LOVING the Alice + Olivia sequined skirt for the holidays!
